A fine day at continued for the Lane stable at Newcastle after digger McClellan steered Trust The Fox to the runner-up cheque behind Savings in race six on the Newcastle card following on from Snip N Stare finished first in the third and Captains Legend finished second in the fourth.
Trust The Fox was an improver after a last start fifth of 11 at Scone on October 27 when digger rode the three-year-old chestnut to a 2.5 length deficit to the race winner on that occasion.
