The rain in Newcastle did nothing to put a dampener on the results of Oakfield Missile Oakfield Twilight when running second and third on the poly track championship qualifier for provincial trained horses over 1400m.

Oakfield Twilight helped put some pace into the race & drew clear on straightening for home but it was the stable mate who pounced late to guarantee the Lane stable two starters for the provincial championship race at Royal Randwick, the race was taken out by the Kemble Grange trained galloper, Archedemus.
